ASHLAND, Ohio – The Coburn Art Gallery at Ashland University is hosting a regional juried exhibition from Tuesday, May 27, through Saturday, July 26, featuring works created by the 23 members of the Ashland Community Arts League. The opening reception will be Friday, May 30, from 5-7 p.m.

Exhibiting artists are Barbara Nell Morejon, Christine Krantz, Betz Johnson Richards, Cynthia Petry, Dana Sherburne, Debra Akers, Irene Maginniss, Marty Bossler Lee, Heidi Weller, MP Marion, Nancy Dupre, Peggy Stover, Bradley Bunn, Ricki Dénes, Ecca Walk, Ron Abrams, Susan Shafer, Micheala Brehm, Sharon Stone, Jeri Klobutcher, Doug Becht, Irv Oslin and Janet Wells.
The guest juror for the exhibition was Clare Murray Adams, a retired professor of art and former chair of the visual art department at Malone University. Adams’ exhibits include two acceptances to Quilt National, international exhibitions in Canada and Japan and one-person shows in Ohio, South Carolina, Michigan and California. Her quilts and collages are in many private collections.
The Coburn Gallery’s summer hours are Tuesday through Friday 10 a.m.-4 p.m., as well as Saturday noon-4 p.m. It is free and open to the public. For more information about the exhibition, email cpetry@ashland.edu or visit the gallery’s Facebook or Instagram pages.
