Chrysalis performing free concert

The Ashland University Department of Music will present a concert by Chrysalis, a duo consisting of Lindsey Goodman (voice, flute) and Robert Frankenberry (voice, piano), on Monday, March 14, at 7:30 p.m. The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held at the Hugo Young Theatre inside the Center for the Arts (401 College Ave.).

“First Lines” by Amy Williams and “Duo for Flute and Piano” by Aaron Copland are among the selections to be performed.

Goodman is a soloist, recording artist, chamber collaborator, orchestral musician, educator and clinician. She is principal flutist of the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra, adjunct lecturer of flute at Ashland University, Marietta College and Glenville State College, and solo flutist of the non-profit music ensemble What Is Noise.

Frankenberry enjoys a multi-faceted relationship with music as a singer, pianist, conductor, orchestrator, director and occasional composer. He is currently interim concert and communications coordinator for the University of Pittsburgh Department of Music. Frankenberry can be heard singing and playing on the Naxos, Albany, New World Records, Roven Records, New Dynamic Records and Innova labels, as well as various streamlining platforms.
