The Women of Resilience exhibition is part of local and national celebrations of the centennial of women’s suffrage. Twenty-five artists will explore a variety of topics in traditional and non-traditional media. Topics such as: personal empowerment, overcoming barriers, the capacity to recover, acts of strength and resistance, and healing the world and ourselves.
The American League of Women Voters, the Stark Women’s Voting Centennial and the YWCA are partners in this endeavor, as are Massillon Museum and Juilliard Arts Center in Canton.
The exhibition will be held at Ashland University’s Coburn Gallery from Aug 31 through Oct 1. Gallery hours will be posted as we get closer to the opening date on the Coburn Art Gallery FB page. The curators are artists Patricia O’Neill-Sacha, Judith Sterling and Priscilla Roggenkamp.
